      Van den Assem

      Reflections

The concept of creating a virtually endless landscape where reflections dominate, reminiscent of the Uyuni Bolivian salt planes, was a perfect match with virtual production and the use of in-camera visual effects (icvfx). By using the large wall at ReadySet Studios to display stunning views of skies and vistas, with reflections of that same content in a shallow basin of water in front of the screen, amazing results were achieved in-camera.

As Trip to the Moon puts it:

So why not build an enormous water basin at the foot of another massive surface, a LED wall, to create an endless horizon echoed in the water? Just to sell shoes without focussing on shoes? Have some damn high-end luxurious pair of shoes that shimmer in all it’s humbleness.

Creating a soothing dream space where Van den Assem shoes – and their bearers -shine. Yes, that might be a feeling to come back for

Some insurance issues, though, mainly a fantastic production with Dawn, underpromise agency, and primarily the best crew out there followed. We share our results. Dare not to think Milk Inc. – Walk on Water whilst watching this.
