The What: VP in Clear Terms

Both VP and VFX require a one-off investment in a digital (or ‘virtual’) 2D/3D environment or asset.

  • In VP, this asset can be used by the crew in real-time*, offering flexibility in angles and unlimited screen time, though at a higher studio cost.
  • Conversely, VFX has lower initial studio costs (for instance using green or blue screen) but incurs ‘per shot’ expenses during post-production.

*realtime refers to the immediate rendering and display of 3D environments or visual effects as they are created or adjusted, allowing instant feedback and interaction during filming

Is VP the answer to everything?

No.

But it is a solution to many challenges, from controlling conditions to ensuring on-set safety, reducing operational costs, and meeting your sustainability pledge.

Recipe for Success

We believe strongly in the main ingredients that define successful virtual production workflows:

  1. An incredible set in front of the LED wall;
  2. A convincing world on the LED wall;
  3. Clever lighting that ties the two together as a seamless whole;
  4. And an amazing crew that, through clear and efficient communication, makes the true magic happen right before your eyes.

The main take-away…

Virtual Production is a pure form of collaboration.

Good thing, by the way, that our founding partners come from diverse backgrounds, including production design, visual effects, production, and finance, which are key ingredients in our recipe for success.

Endless Worlds: Our Mission

We have serviced well over 65 productions in our short lifespan. That’s 65 filmmakers we helped realize their vision, delivering on the promise of ‘final pixel’ results. Our customer satisfaction is exceptional, and we are dedicated to keeping up our score.

After all: technology without creativity is nothing.

The principles of virtual production are not new. On the contrary, they’re almost as old as the invention of film itself. But something changed in recent years that takes this in-camera visual effects potential to the next level.
